My Reviews
\\\"And then she killed him\\\" was informative and detailed oriented;however the story was like reading a court transcript. Every little detail and conversation were described in the story. Some of our club members found themselves skipping chapters just to get to the end. In the end our book club was split on the guilty verdict.
"The Serial killer's Wife" was fast moving, easy read with a suprise ending. Only a few members in our book club suspected the ending-the story keeps you guessing.
Our book club read this novel when "erotica" was choosen as a topic. The story is too long, but is one of those stories that readers think is going to get better. The sex in the book is graphic bordering on bizzare, and as some in our group stated-unrealistic making it not so enjoyale to read.
The book was more entertaining than "Fifty Shades of Gray"
This novel is fantastic! Well written, the author brings the characters to life. I read this just two days, I couldn't wait to see what would happen next or what new character would be introduced. Our book club's name came from this novel! Our club highly recommends reading this book.
Low Pressure was an easy read that started out slow with undefined characters. The romance between the main characters was boring not usual for Sandra Brown. Not necessarily a bad book, interesting, but no depth of characters.
Our groups loved this book those who read it. Some of our members found it difficult to read a book of this length. The story provided many interesting discussion questions.
Our book club read this book falling under literary fiction. Though the book described the characters the general read was pointless. All of our members complained they were looking for a "point" to the story. Overall our members would not recommend this book to book clubs.
Our club choose this book for Autobiography and found it easy to read, shorter than what we were use to, but interesting and fun. We enjoyed the different stories and would recommend this for a quick read and some interesting stories to talk about.
Our group overall enjoyed this novel. It certainly made us think about our own children, and the struggles they have with social media. The kindle provided good questions for discussion.
Even our members who do not like horror read this book. It was dark and scary just what we expected.
Our group read this for a Christmas read. It was quick, easy, and fun. Some members also watched Christmas with the Kranks and found the book to be better.
If you are looking for a light fun quick read to de-stress the holidays this it the book.
I usually do not review a book before our club talks about but this book was just not worth reading. The characters were all mono-tone to the point that it was difficult to determine if characters were male or female!
The group was also texting saying they needed a score card to keep track of the characters as there were too many and since no one stood out difficult to know even at end who the author was talking about.
Our group all liked the book and thought it provided some really interesting questions. In general the story was well put together and easy to follow. There were a few slow parts some in our group skimmed over them others read them.
Our group enjoyed this quick read that did drag out the story a little long. The story itself was predictable, but charming and generally made everyone feel good,
This story was a page turning. Our group loved reading it but wished for more at the end.
This book was a little slow moving with too many pages devoted to the courtroom. The ending had a twist but the build up to the ending could have been better.
Our group really loved this book. As we read we found ourselves invested in the lives of the characters. The story also brought up some interesting questions for discussion.
There is no other way to describe this book. I kept reading thinking it would get to the point. It was so bad I actually went back a read the last few chapters because I thought I fell asleep and missed the point.
