My Reviews

Boring, Pointless
I wish the author's passion for cooking would have translated into a more compelling story

This book would no doubt appeal to people in the restaurant business, people interested in learning about the restaurant business and people interested in the history of cooking. It was difficult for the members of our club to get into. While everyone liked it to some degree, nobody loved it.

I would recommend this book to a book club for three reasons:

1. It will introduce the members to a world that they likely know little about.

2. The discussion was lively. Our members enjoyed comparing personal cooking and fine dining experiences.

3. Finally, combining the discussion with an Italian themed pot luck allowed us to put one of the main themes of the story, "Cooking with love" into practice.
