My Reviews

Creole Belle by James Lee Burke

Creole Belle

Excessive violence with numerous characters and confusing sub plots. Burke writes effective descriptions and gives an accurate picture of the Louisiana setting. However, the incidents could have been developed more with some saved for another book.

The Drowning House: A Novel by Elizabeth Black

The Drowning House

Vivid descriptions of Galveston, TX. Numerous flashbacks without adequate transitions.
