Same-oh-same-oh

This story has been done many times and much better. If interested in an Asian cultural story about families that is in depth read Amy Tan.

Minaret: A Novel by Leila Aboulela

Poorly Written, Unconvincing, Gloomy
Not worth your time

The various conflicts presented were not as much cultural as societal: older woman/younger man; poor maid/rich son. Poorly written; read like a sad diary.

The Silence of Trees

This book was powerful, well written in a visual manner. The story seems very real and relatable. It evokes a variety of feeling along the entire spectrum. It reviews the depth of family relationships over many years. Very enjoyable.
