My Reviews

A young man trades his soul for eternal youth.

This book is a must read for any one who considers themselves a book lover. Oscar Wilde paints a vivid image of Dorian's life and raises pressing questions of good and evil. This book takes you for a ride with an unsuspecting end.

Atonement by Ian McEwan

Slow, Dramatic, Difficult
A young girl watches as her big sister's life changes dramatically and her love life evolve.

A roaring beginning typical of McEwan's stories. I was disappointed and not as drawn in by the second half.

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

Interesting, Dramatic, Gloomy
A beautiful and talented young woman slowly falls into a depression.

A masterfully told story. Easy to identify with for any woman who has gone through life and questioned the expectations laid out for her. Perhaps too easy.
