If you have folks in your book club that like scary and/or like Stephen King, this will begin a great fun discussion on the books. I did not finish it, but there were those that enjoyed the book in the group and did like it.

 
great to get discussions about belief systems and traditions

We discussed this at church book club. We had some very good discussions about the beliefs and traditions of the Amish. Those discussions also flowed into discussion of other religions, traditions and cults. Great book to open up thoughts in this area.

 
Fun enjoyable read
