I found myself reading in the young woman's voice throughout most of the book. It wasn't until after a decision was made (reborn) that the voice changed to male. I longed for more information from the clinical perspective. Historical details were intriguing; how sad that matters were never discussed openly. The father's death was completely unexpected.
