My Reviews
Random Family: Love, Drugs, Trouble, and Coming of Age in the Bronx by Adrian Nicole LeBlanc
Informative, Difficult, Insightful
One of the best books I ever read!Reads like fiction- Really eye opening- gives such a vivid picture of the viscous cycle of poverty and welfare- but told through the riveting story of two girls/women who are each incredibly strong in their own ways.
Loving Frank: A Novel by Nancy Horan
Informative, Interesting, Dramatic
interesting take on a familiar themeThe book really picked up as it went along- interesting because it was true- generates good discussion on the roles of women/mothers
The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera
challenging read
It was a challenging read, but I was glad I did the work.
