Most of our bookclub felt the book needed a good editor although a great reference for people in business. It was interesting to hear about his adventures and life, then how the company developed through products and clothing. Yvon preaches a little too much on some subjects in the second half. Best parts were learning how Yvon saw the need to look at and change the way mankind and businesses are destroying our earth. Learning how his company is making a difference by being environmentally conscious and active about the way we do everything is inspiring. He is a visionary and way ahead of his time.
This book is a great discussion springboard with regard to concerns about our planet and business practices that have a positive or negative affect. Unfortunately, the author should've hired someone else to write it because it comes off as a preachy textbook.
I enjoyed the book though some parts read like a text book. The best parts were about relationships, starting the clothing business and the many adventures he had. The worst parts were tedious details about climbing equipment. I loved his global vision.
