We enjoyed reading this as we all discovered that even though we knew the story - we hadn't read the story.. It is beautifully written and a joy to read!

Excellent book for a holiday book club meeting. The tale is rather brief, yet rich in symbolism and lavish Dickens' adjectives. One of the divas referred to it as a "delicious holiday treat". The Mermaid Divas (our club) were able to have a delicious potluck meal, discuss the book, do a gift book exchange, and select our books for the next 6 months!
