Whether your kids are reading it in school or not, this book has so much to discuss particularly if your book club likes deep discussions. Just keep in mind, during your discussions, that this was written in the early 50's and times were much different then. The symbolism is significant and it reminds us all how fear, power and control can play such a significant part of our lives.
ooking forward to reading it again for my book discussion. It turned out not as bad as I remembered. In fact, I probably understand it a lot better now than I did as a naive teenager. We did have a lively discussion about it tonight.
