This is such a beautiful book. It reminds us of what\'s important in this world. I loved the various POV narratives.
Author Stephany Tullis has written a lovely story just in time for Christmas. In this tale of a small town at odds with one another, she moves us from problems to solutions. The Mayor, Luke Evans, wants to throw a Christmas extravaganza to rival if not beat the ones in larger cities. In order to achieve this ambitious plan, he asks for help from the local minister, Reverend Woody Jones.
The Reverend offers advice to the Mayor, “Luke, have you ever really wanted something…badly? So badly that your thinking became befuddled? So befuddled that you dropkicked your common sense?”
Once Luke understands this advice things begin to fall into place. If you’re not in the Christmas spirit before reading this charming book, you will be when you finish it.
Lovely Christmas stories for the holidays. Don't miss out on this!
I loved, loved, and loved this story. This is a heart warming tale that will make your Christmas spirit come alive with the joy, magic and wonder of of Yuletide. Enjoy!
48 Hours til Christmas takes place in Smoothville, Georgia just before the Christmas Extravaganza. However, even Christmas doesn't stop political strife and ill will created from the recent Mayoral election. Residents are at odds with each other, friendships strained and broken trust create a black cloud over Smoothville.
This story will get you into the true Christmas spirit as the characters struggle and over-come the scrooge-like atmosphere.
I loved this story, and I think you will too.
Tullis has written a feel good story about love, relationship, religion, and, as the name indicates, Christmas. The town of Smoothville seems real, the larger than life characters remind me of some of my own family, and the Christmas party was the cherry on the cake. The author was able to infuse the true feeling of Christmas into this poignant, entertaining novella.
This story will get you into the true Christmas spirit. Joyous and inspirational.
It's about the conflicts and personalities of small town and how the characters go about overcoming the difficulties before them. The Mayor, Luke Evans, wants to throw a Christmas extravaganza to rival if not beat the ones in larger cities. In order to achieve this ambitious plan, he asks for help from the local minister, Reverend Woody Jones.
