I do not have a sister and I do not have close female friends, maybe that is why I missed the greatness of this book.... I enjoyed it, but I am optimistic that life can be so wonderful. The writer is a good writer the language was easy to follow and craved to finish the book, I just did not get emotionally connected.... believe it or not I love to be connected with at least 1 person in the story.
I am eager to here from the ladies in the book club who have sisters and are "more" girly than me :).

This book was overall decent. I'm not sure that I love it enough to recommend it to others. This was my first Kristin Hannah book and I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. I found this book to be a little predictable and far fetched at times. I wasn't able to relate to the characters, although I do have a sister. I will be giving another Kristin Hannah book a try but I'm hoping I'm a little more satisfied after reading it, unlike I felt after this one.

A predictable Soap Opera, well written. Clearly her earlier writing.
