Although this book is well-written, many of our members are facing their own battles with cancer consequently the book was too difficult for them to read and/or discuss. I would suggest that book clubs proceed with caution.
Very good book for discussion.
I loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone.
A story of a young woman who thinks she has it all figured out, when she is called to come home to nurse her terminally ill mother. The story is bittersweet as the bond deepens and changes.
Great book - DO NOT see the movie! The movie was a terrible representation of the book and veered sooo off course at times!
Anna Quindlen is a great writer, and her novel, One True Thing, is Quindlen at her best. She draws from her own experiences to tell a compelling story, and we are left with a deeper understanding of what is the one true thing in our own lives.
