If you are from N. California, this collection of short stories will give you insight into the history of the Anderson Valley. Written by a Viet Nam Vet, for whom the hard work of logging and farming helped him heal, the writing is not perfect, but for me it had: history about an area I love, interesting information about a changing way of life in those rural areas, and amusing and well drawn characters.
