This book was a well written account of one woman's experience as a young adult and first love during world 1, and of loss. Her life unfolds to include a second marriage with children. The family dynamic and marital issues that tell her story are good examples of how our choices and our responses to others, mold our lives. I appreciated this insightful glimpse of frailty, compromise, understanding and integrity
