"Antique Roadshow lovers will adore this book" by Mariska (see profile) 07/15/10

I learned so much about American history and the hidden world of antique and rare artifact trading in this book. The author spins a great yarn, with so much engaging detail.

"Lost Rights: The Misadventures of a Stolen American Relic" by DebMartin (see profile) 07/15/10

David Howard has followed the trail of one of the original copies of The Bill of Rights from its rightful place in North Carolina's statehouse to the wall of a family home in Indianapolis to an FBI sting in Philadelphia that ultimately returned it to Raleigh. Along the way he reveals the inner workings of the markets for antiques and historical manuscripts and how states and the federal government work to retrieve documents that have been lost or stolen over the years. This book reads like the script for "National Treasure"--except it's all true!
