I found this book to be quite empowering and could relate to the main character. I know life has thrown us all curve balls we never expect. Somehow, a book like this reminds us we aren't alone and we can make it through anything.

This was definitely not your typical boy meets girl romance novel. The era of this author is colorfully peppered throughout the book. The care free hippie lifestyle makes this a fun and sassy read.
This would be a great day on the beach read as well as a cuddle by a warm fire evening of entertainment!
The main character has anything but the average white picketed fence life, but I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t have it any other way! Ms. Bird a great job of stepping outside the box of the average romance novel. An intense look at a great era of time gone by!
