All members of our book club agreed this book was disappointing. The ending was not belieavable, the characters were inconsistent and weak, and some parts of the book were so outlandish as to suggest you were reading 2 separate books (or as one member joked - "it was like having a commercial for an action movie interjected into the book").

Overall, it did not lend itself well for discussion.

We were all disappointed in this book, especially since several in our Club had enjoyed previous books by Jance. Disconnected in that a lot of events in the book didn't seem plausible and left us wondering how in the heck some of the pieces were supposed to fit. Not believable. Have to admit though that it was fun to have part of the story take place in our neck of woods - Arizona!
