Strong beliefs are important to an individuals psyche, but can those beliefs lead to your demise. Beautiful Mystery is well written with great character development. Our book club enjoyed the story and learning about the life of a monk.

It drug on for too long. Some things were just pointless.

I really liked this book, maybe because I was raised in the Catholic Church. The story was well written with a few unexpected turns in the story.
I listened to the audible hoping to hear some Gregorian Chant, after all it was the most beautiful. That was not included in the audible version, so I was disappointed.
I was inspired enough to find Dominican chanting on the internet. I expected the chants to be more like the high mass that I use to hear, but I didn't recognize any of their hymns.
I would recommend this book as a good mystery,
