Sure, there is demon possession. There are some unsettling parts of this quirky read. But it's a lighter hand than other books in the genre. There is much about friendship and persistence as well. Just enough of a thrill to keep you on the edge of your seat, but not enough to give you nightmares. No people are killed in the scope of the book, but animal lovers beware.
