I would recommend this book to anyone who likes historical books written about war time. It is obvious that the author spent a lot of time on research, so I'm sure it is very accurate. However, if you are looking for an easy read, don't choose this one. There are many, many characters to keep up with and the plot jumps around a lot. The author has included an entire cast of characters at the front of the book which helps.
Excellent! Very descriptive and "real"! I loved the characters!
I went back and reread much of the book because I felt I got too lost in the large number of characters the first time to really get a good handle on the story. I really like historical fiction and this book certainly gave us much to think about and discuss.
