This was mainly letters written back and forth between the author and Fred Rogers. Although it does show the friendship between the two, I still got a little bored with it.
This book touched me deeply. Madigan shared such personal, difficult stories. Reading what a truly gentle, spiritual person Mr. Rogers was in real life and how he helped Madigan through hard times (and Madigan supported Rogers back) was inspiring. I also like the way Madigan writes.
We always knew Mr Rogers was a kind and gentle soul by how he came across through his television show, but the depth of his compassion is astonishing. Mr Madigan has shown us one of God’s miracles that walked amount us.
