This is such a heartfelt, inspiring novel about a psychiatrist and a special patient who changes her life dramatically. Reminiscent of Pat Conroy's best work, The Hours Between Us will encourage your book club members to reflect on their own capacity to love, live, and rise above physical and spiritual challenges.
Captivating, couldn't put it down. The Hours Between Us was a pleasure to read. Graf's portrait of the relationship between a psychiatrist and her patient is rendered with great skill and sensitivity, offering considerable insights into love, loss, and the convolutions of the psyche.
A powerful story set in the Lowcountry of Charleston about an ill young college student who returns to her home and is referred to a loving and caring psychiatrist for treatment. The novel is well written and a page turner.
A truly haunting book which allows the reader to enter the author's personal life story and gaze into the professional world of psychiatry and therapy. I could not put it down. Read it from cover to cover in two sittings. Recommend this outstanding novel to anyone, looking for outstanding reading.
