This book is part of a Literary Map of the United States and while it clearly depicts Michigan’s U.P., it suffers from being over long for its topic and repetitive. There is very fast captivating action at the book’s outset and again in its final pages and in between the book moves at a meandering pace, at best. Harrison is a good writer but this book could have used some editing.
