Pointless plot.. Could not like or care about the main character
left a bitter taste in my mouth; the main character does not seem to grow up at all and gets stuck in a mindless circle of work, drugs and drinking
Our book club discussion centered around tasting different wines & foods centered around "terroir".
A small town girl finding her wings in a big city...the catch was in the restaurant industry. It was refreshing and interesting.
Bleh! Didn't like the characters, was annoyed by their choices and didn't feel the main character grew up at all.
The ideas of the restaurant business and “??nostalgia”? of the pre-smartphone and tech phase was interesting to read. However, the book doesn’??t have a huge build up or major storyline. Kind of written in a journaling of a girl starting out in NYC in an accidental career as a back waiter.
