I loved this book. It was great insight into restaurant and kitchen life. I like to cook and have considered it as a career choice so I found all of it interesting. If you have no interest in cooking the life part of it is still fascinating.
I love spending time with Anthony Bourdain. He's wickedly funny while at the same time being quite a good writer. It was interesting to get his take on the business, to hear his stories, in his unique voice. Bourdain loves food and that really comes through in this book. He's both a terrific storyteller and quite a good writer. It's hard to beat that combination.
Bourdain truly gives you a glimpse into the hard driving life of a chef and a wonderful behind the scenes look at the restaurant world. Not always pretty or appetizing, it nonetheless seemed genuine and Bourdain is a wonderful storyteller.
