This book got my attention immediately and held it until the rather surprising wind up. It had some nostalgia for me as a woman growing up in the same time period and a naive innocence mixed in with the suspense and the crime that made for a good conflict. I truly liked the characters and I really felt involved in the plot. Plus the Dedication in the book touched my heart as no other has ever done before and the authors exploits, sailing on her website intrigued me too when I read her website. This will be an author I will be watching for new books to come. The style is unique and fresh, and our group enjoyed it as a whole.
