"Maiden Voyage" reads like a novel and moves smoothly from one experience to another. The harrowing sea tales interspersed with relaxing shore leave
make a nice balance.

With a family life that was enormously challenging, and a messenger job that required risk taking, the sea adventure might have seemed more tame to her than it does to the reader.

Whether the experience matured Tania and made her goal oriented when she made it back on shore is left left to the reader to imagine.
One can only wish her well.
