"horrible. I actually threw the book away" by ellentambo (see profile) 03/26/08

Terribly written, story did not go anywhere. I kept trying to read it until my husband asked me if I was enjoying my book and I realized how stupid I was being, so I threw the book away. Not even good enough to give away or try to sell. NOT WORTH READING

"long tedious and boring" by loladep (see profile) 06/15/08

the synopsis of this book made me think it would be so much more than what it was ... i didnt think there was any 'story' to it .. it just seemed to be a narration of the lives of a few women ...

"don't think I'll finish it" by carriehva (see profile) 07/22/08

Sounded interesting but isn't. Quite disappointing. No plot to keep you interested. I hate not finishing a book, but I don't think I can bear to waste my precious reading time on something I am not all that interested in.

"Reading this is like trying to struggle through a required reading assignment" by Tonia (see profile) 07/30/08

Slow moving with lots of unnecessary verbage. So many in our book club did not finish reading it!

"No one liked it. Only 2 people even finished it." by bekkihoch (see profile) 08/07/08

My book club is a group of stay at home moms and yet none of us could relate to these characters. I don't see how it was a "Ten Year Nap" exactly and I certainly can't see what all these women awakened to after this 10 year period.

"Boring, unlikeable characters" by agranieri (see profile) 08/07/08

I found it hard to relate to the characters.

"Great discussion but didn't really like book" by marshcs (see profile) 08/13/08

The book was a fairly easy read for me, but I know others in our group had a hard time getting through it. The character development seemed a little lacking...the the character's behavior sometimes annoying. It wasn't really "my kind of book" but it did make for a really good discussion due to the content.

"Not worth the struggle" by SerenaW (see profile) 11/26/09

It was a chore to finish and I had absolutely no interest in these characters There was maybe one interesting incident in restaurant which never came to much. I am an avid reader a book this size usually takes me 2-3 days this took me 2-3 weeks. I thought I would like the book due to the subject as I am a stay at home mom but it wasn't relevant to me in the least

"Jacket description makes it sound better than it is." by marshlynn (see profile) 02/22/11

I agree with most of the reviewsd. Though I did finish it and I wouldn't toss it out. I think it was a good topic but I kept thinking I could write it better.
