When I started reading this book, I described it to other members of my book club as Nora Roberts meets Sleeping with the Enemy (I loved that the author mentions the movie!!), but I was wrong. I think this book goes much deeper than any Nora Roberts book that I have read; I actually felt Rainie's shame as she described what happened to her. Overall, it was a good book and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Even though the ending is fairly predictable, I enjoyed the book. I'm glad that Rainie finally got to stand up for herself.
This book from page one, you know how it will end. That is understood. I really liked the story though. It was a tough time for Rainie and I felt like she could have been a real person. It was an easy, enjoyable read. Good for a trip to the beach or some light summer reading.
