Three Cups of Tea was a story of failure turned to success. The manner in which Mortensen 'fell' into his destiny was captivating. The relationships that he formed with the people that led him on his way were educational and humbling. Who knows where the changes that Mortensen implemented will lead but it will be exciting to find out!
Lots of new learning...and lots of hints about how the world needs to behave to make peace.
not being a lover of non fiction, this book started quite slowly for me...interesting, but not particularly engaging. somewhere around page 50, however, i was hooked by the poignant narrative of a courageous and compassionate man whose mission defines him. the story and the character of mortenson is powerful and amazing.
