I really like the book, it kept my interested and it was very insightful. The book was a life changing for a young girl. She had so many changes in her life,from her father dying and a twin sister badly burned. A mother leaving her with a stranger not thinking about her at all. This is where her life began to change. Her life was turned up side down.

This book was well written with enough details to make you keep reading; the story line is well developed. Darnella Ford creates visible characters that are easy to like or hate.
