If you liked THE HELP you'll find you'll think of Katherine Stockness's characters as you read. The two books would make a great book club choice to compare and contrast. Thrity Umrigar told the story beautifully and her writing stays with you. Both Stockness and Umrigar developed characters I still think about...long after I've closed the book.
