Don't be scared by such a "big" book, because you wish that it doesn't end. #4 in the Outlander series, Jamie and Claire have been living in pre revolutionary America, knowing the war will start but trying to prevent themselves coming involved. A time travel series involving a British nurse from the 1940's who eventually ends up married to a Highlander from the 1600's.
I didn't think I would like the setting once they left Scotland, but I love the homestead in North Carolina and the dealings of the Native Americans. I highly recommend this book and the series.
