Would appeal to a narrow portion of the reading public. The main character, Amanda, is not strong enough to captivate the reader and the book itself is poorly written.
We just finished "Enlightenment for Idiots". The book was well written, but was clearly geared towards the yoga world. AS a group that does not practice yoga, the book was difficult to understand and relate to. The terminology almost could have used a glossary at the end of the book. However, the story was good and we did have some good discussions about India and how people live there.
I just thought it was really slow and unconvincing. Some of the stuff just is fairy tale like. Not impressed.
