"A Good Story" by setblumer (see profile) 01/23/08

I only gave it a 3 because the first 60 pages or so were hard to get into. If it wasn't for book club and I felt I really didn't "have to" read it I would have put it down. There were so many characters and Jewish words without definistions, it was just hard.
But after those first few chapters, it ended up being a great story of true love, forgiveness, and how a different culture lives. You say the whole time "I could never live like that!"
It was a beautiful love story of a man and a woman. Also with sisters and with siblings and parents. Not until the whole story is unfolded do you truly see that. And how someone who doesn't even know you can truly care for you.
If you started it, finish it, it will be worth it!

"Really Interesting" by PECHEMAN (see profile) 07/10/10

I liked this book a lot because it explained the Orthodox culture and customs, and interpreted the Hebrew words and saying. It is very insightful and really makes you wonder how people live like that and the sacrifices these families make. It was a great story line about the sisters struggles with marriage and relationships and how each handled it differently. Definitely worth the read.
