Gaiman's darkness and Pratchett's light come together to form the most delightful and humorous apocalypse ever put to page. When Sister Mary Loquacious of the Chattering Order loses Satan's child in a shell game of swapped babies, it becomes a game of "Antichrist, Antichrist, Who's Raising the Antichrist?" Meanwhile, the original serpent and the original guardian of Eden -- now quite good friends -- discover that working toward a thing for millenia, and having it actually happen, are two entirely different things.
The nature and cautious interwoven relationship between good & evil has more in common than not. This is reflected in the seamless collaboration of the authors as well as in the two main characters along with their comedy and conflict that epitomizes a brilliant blend akin to salt & pepper. The Apocalypse? Funny? Who knew? I highly (heavenly, in fact) recommended this book. It’s wickedly witty & scathingly savvy with pithy perspective. A LOL “revelation” of sorts. Truly an “ineffable” read. The zany cumulative humor is even thought provoking enough for mortals. Don’t be a wanker. Read this book, but if at all possible, before Saturday.
Must be read in big blocks or else you find yourself not knowing who\\\'s who or where you are. Once it gets going, it\\\'s pretty funny at times.
