Leslie draws you in with humor and emotion threading the needle between too much and too little. Brilliant book. Highly recommend it.

Coming out of the pandemic, I never thought I could enjoy a book about grieving so much! From the very first page, the author's keen wit emerges as she shares with us her pain upon the sudden loss of her husband while still noticing all of the absurdities and oddities of our every day lives. Life in her bi racial marriage with her adoption challenges give us pause, insights, and smiles for all that is good in the world.
