A light-hearted parody of overly dramatic, angst-filled rural novels. Recently orphaned nineteen year old Flora goes to stay with her backwater relatives on their farm, with the intent of "tidying up" both the place and the lives of the people who live there. A fun book, but its good to do a quick review of the book on Wikipedia before actually reading it.
