"Moving account of a child gone wrong with drugs." by Mother (see profile) 01/04/07

I found this book to be disturbing and truthfull regarding the loss of control with your daughter. Daughter was heavily involved in drugs, eating disorders and general mayhem and what the mother (and father) did to save the daughter from herself. I don't know if I would have followed the same path, but they did succeed. Until you have been lied to (about serious stuff) by your child you don't know how difficult it is to cope with wayward kids. It's easy to say, "Oh my kid would never do that". Just wait!!!

I thought this book was intersting. It was great to hear the perspective of a mother who went through so much with her daughter. I personally could not relate to much of the story because I do not have any children, but I felt like screaming at the mother many times throughout the story for being such a pushover and allowing her daughter to do what she did. I was not in that situation, but realized that when I do have a daughter or son, I will not follow in the footsteps on this mother.
