Although I found the characters frustrating and selfish and made little or no development by the end of the book, it brought up some interesting topics to think about and the book itself was not quite like any other book Iâ??ve read before.
I found that I disliked all of the characters. If I liked any of them it was Nick and even he at times was questionable. Bobbi’s character got on my nerves the most. Rating it a 3 out of 5 for it being interesting enough that I felt myself compelled to read it quickly, however deducting 2 stars for annoying characters haha.
The writing style of this took me a bit to get used to, but after that the conversations became easier to follow and get more invested in. Story was good, but a lot going on in parts and just not really my kind of book! Didn¢??t love it but glad I gave it a shot.
The only thing going for this book is that Sally Rooney is an excellent writer. She conveys the conversations with friends well, but I would not want to be friends with these people. If you haven't read Rooney's other book, NORMAL PEOPLE, read it instead. That one was excellent!
