Too dark and full of anger and revenge for me at this time!
That said, it did provide the group with interesting conversation.

I loved this book the first time I read it, but it can be a difficult read with all the vocabulary and dialect. The book club meeting was fun though - because books should always create a reaction, and this one CERTAINLY did!

This was a gloomy love story not a fun read like a Spark love story. I am glad I read it because it is a classic . I also enjoy reading about the autjhor and her family as I did some research on who she was.

Characters unclear. Goes on and on. Confusing.
