It actually made for an excellent discussion and we represented opposite ends of the continuum. If your book club does not not controversial discussions, I might stay away. Still hated the book but enjoyed the discussion.

We chose this book because our reading focus is on social activism and being aware of what's going on.

Because of the heavy topic and during the holidays, we gave our selves two months to read (rather than a month). In the end, most people still had trouble reading just because it wasn't as inspiring as our other books have been.
