I loved this book. A very charming, intriguing and uplifting story. Narrated by a Japanese war-bride and her grown daughter, we read of the struggles both have lived through and the love they have for one another regardless of the often tricky relationship they share. I look forward to reading more from Margaret Dilloway in the future.

Great relational example of how one feels and how another interprets the the same event.

"Great book!" by LisaMarieM (see profile) 06/07/13

This book was an easy read. It focused on the transition/challenges of a Japanese woman moving to the United States after World War II. It also went into the complex relationship between her daughter.

"Good Audio Book" by Vsroka (see profile) 01/07/21

This was a fun book to list to the audio version of. I wish it was a true story and was disappointed to find out that only parts of it were true. It was a fun read
