I really enjoyed reading this book. I actually learned a lot about schizophrenia. As a teacher, it made me think about the children that we come face to face with, and the lives they must live outside of school. As a parent, it made me thankful that I have a clear and stable mind. It is a great Book Club READ!
It was all I could do to finish this book. I did not like her style of writing. The last 25% was better reading, but I would not have finished it if I didn't have book club to attend.
My book club questioned if the author had mental illness like her mother, outside of her brain injury. Book did not flow well.
Though not the best book I have read, it is worthwhile. I didn\'t find much of this book completely engaging; the writing often seemed mediocre and confusing. However, the subject matter was interesting and insightful. The ending was very moving, and this book provided a lot to talk about at our meeting.
