This could have been shorter by 100 pages. Our book club over all enjoyed it, but agreed it was wordy, and slow. Gives a west coast perspective on WWII especially for those of us on the East coast that have little knowledge on the internment camps. However the author brings us to the camp and then basically drops the family's overall experience.
