The group agreed that the descriptions were great. You could really feel like you were experiencing the west as Gussie did. As a reader you could tell that Henderson was putting his love of the west into this book.
We felt that there was no connection with any of the characters. In fact one of the members stated that she felt the book was never going to end. For our group we did not like it, we did not connect with the characters or plot.
