Don\\\'t miss this one. It\\\'s fast paced, exciting, and informative. Most Americans don\\\'t know that there was an Armenian genocide. I don\\\'t know how the male author manages to write from a female protaganist\\\'s point of view so convincingly!

This is a beautifully written book about a horrendous event in the history of the world, the Armenian genocide a century ago. Chris Bohjalian skillfully combines history, religious intolerance, attempting to overcome it and romance to make this a must-read for book clubs.

I love history and was shocked that I had never heard of the world's worst genocide after holocost. My club thought it was too dark a topic to read for pleasure reading. I was glad to read just for the knowledge and cultural differences.
