It was a sweet story which depicted the evolution of the term "traditional family." Families not only consist of a mother, father, and children living under one roof, but a family can be a woman (with two children from a previous relationship) and a man (raising his stepchild)all living as a family. It was a wonderful story of letting go of one bad relationship and finding a relationship by happenstance. This was one GREAT story!

I thought it a fun read even though much of the subject matter touched on serious issues. The serious issues can serve as excellent discussion topics. My only reservations stem from the fact that certain storylines seemed just thrown in and then either quickly resolved (arsonist) or ultimately dropped (young daughter's unsuitable first crush).
